Basketball and Football

A 1977 graduate of Aragon, Sidney was a standout in both football and basketball. Sidney was named league Most Valuable Player both his junior and senior years in basketball. He was also 1st team All-County and 1st team All-C.C.S. in basketball.  Sidney played college basketball at San Jose State University. In 1980, Sidney was named 1st team all-conference. The 1980-81 qualified for the NCAA Tournament. Sidney presently ranks 9th all-time in scoring. Sidney was also voted Most Valuable Player of the PCAA Conference Tournament and was a 9th round draft choice of the Portland Trail Blazers.
